Thanksgiving in Indiana

Rosie and William hard at work on a magna-tiles vehicle.

The construction project moves to the floor.

The littles play in their Christmas jammies.

Uncle Ian doles out the cod liver oil.  (The perfect start to your Thanksgiving day!  Haha.)

Isabel's turn to dazzle William with her magna-tiles creation!

Donald during dinner prep.  Haha.

Peppy starts handing out appetizers in the form of cashews from a mysterious black bag (she found?).  Yum!

Delicious bird!

Yum yum!

Donald really lucked out with his seat placement, didn't he?  Haha.

I think William is asking if it's okay for him to eat that bite of dressing (his new thing he likes to try sometimes: asking and demanding an answer before every bite).  Donald is obviously focused on the main event.  Who knows what Penelope is doing.  But at least she is formally attired!

Two goofs.  I think Penelope was saying "cheese!"

Did somebody say cheese?  Can I have some?

A little time to digest after the meal.

Isabel shares a special moment with the pumpkin pie as she "patiently waits" for dessert time.

William and Uncle Ian throw a giant tennis ball back and forth.  William does not seem to have planned adequately for an attempt to catch this one.

William's turn to throw!

Ian laughs after tripping Isabel on the scarf she tied to his ankle.

Penelope shows William her house of many doors and locks.

Rose very generously shows William her lego truck and lets him play with it (he'd been dying to since he saw it on the high shelf!).  Such a nice big cousin!

Aunt Jane snuggles with the littles, and Isabel joins the fun.

The littles forgot to look at the camera!

Deh Deh wanted to sit in Aunt Jane's lap to eat some Cheerios.

Look who came to join the fun!

Peppy needs a hug!

The next morning: story time with Gam!

Penelope is dressed in her finery, and William is dressed in the closest I could get to finery out of what I had in his suitcase, ready for surprise picture time!

So, Jane had a little photo session set up for the day after we left with the mom of one of Rosie's friends.  The weather was scheduled to be bad that day, so Harry's mom asked to reschedule to Friday, while we were still there.  So we threw William in the mix for a few pics.  But it turned out to be (literally) freezing that day, so I think most of the pictures are just of children huddled in blankets, anyway!  Haha.

Too cute snuggled in a blanket together!!

Gam goes through an old photo album with the littles.

Saturday morning: more story time with Gam!!

Followed by a little coloring time!

The Trip to Indiana

William had no interest in sleeping (at least in the crib) when we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 AM.  (I gave up on the dream about 4:30 and pulled him into bed.)  I woke up in the morning to find this really comfortable arrangement William had settled on for Donald to get some restful, recharging sleep.  Haha.  I guess I've found the upside to being stuck in a mound of pillows for my creaky pregnant self? It seemed to work as a fort to keep these poor saps squeezed out of my side.

Comfortable as can be!

Donald, not so much.

A slight adjustment by the time I got out of the shower.

An all-too-brief visit with Aunt Rachael and Cullen! (And William alarms Cullen with his attempts to hug without his arms?)

"Sharing."  By William's definition, anyway.  Which seems to be basically "monopolizing Cullen's toys".

Cute cute!

Another hug!

Still doesn't have the arm thing down.

Cullen helps Donald get a little work done.

Suggesting edits?

An attempt to get a group shot.  Way to look at the camera, boys!  Haha.

Then, our attempt to do a picture with Emily in absentia (to continue the series).  Note her teeny tiny senior portrait to the right of Rachael's hand... (Bonus senior portraits of Ronni and me on the same line!)
