A Few from the Sick Bay

We've been quarantined away from other people b/c we both have colds, but the weather's been lovely, so we've spent some quality alone time at the playground.

(He's been feeling totally fine, as you can probably gather from these pictures.  Just don't want to pass on the cold.)

Someone has decided he loves the swing.

"HIGHER!!!!"

He found these tucked away in a bag during cooped-up-undermine-Mama's-cleaning-attempts time.
He's not ready for swim season to be over, I guess.

A little quality reading time.

Fort Drum Excursion

William hard at work fueling up various vehicles, as Max takes it all in from his chair.

Good buddies.

Apparently, Donald's face is funny.

William comes rushing over to join the party.

William thought Max was pretty cute! (Unfortunately, Max was turning his head, so he is both blurry and skeptical-looking here).

Making a break for it to come back to Sarah? Max and I had some good snuggle times that were not documented.

A trip to the New York State Zoo.  Checking out the bald eagles.

William refused to sit in his stroller, so I had him stroll my purse around.  Ha.
(Also, what a surprise, Donald's on his phone!)

Inspecting the bear cave.

Disappearing into the bear cave.

The menfolk pose with the bear.  William loved the bear.

And, we discovered, when the bear took a flying leap at William through the glass, the bear loved William.  Probably as a potential food item, but he first came running to the fence when William laughed, so maybe he wanted to play?
Most likely his intentions were not pure.  Haha.

William was a little alarmed by the bear's rapid approach (as was I--I thought I was just taking a picture of William with the bear in the background in that first one, and BOOM, there was the bear!), so he started abandoning the climbing-up plan and backing away pretty immediately.

Getting an assist from Daddy.

See? I'm sure he just wanted to play.

Poor guy is probably lonely.

Checking out the otters.

The otter tries to get to the bug on the outside of the glass to eat it.

Josh the otter-whisperer tries to get the bug to toss it in to the otter.

Josh gives William a boost to check out the otters above the water.

Daddy and William check them out.

Looking for the wolverine.

William found a house!

Josh gets jealous of William's playhouse and starts to move in?

Mama gets jealous of the shaded place to sit.  House party!

Hello, Mr. Elk.

I asked William if there was a bear on my head to get him to look at me.  He got excited at the possibility.

Then he said no, there was no bear there.

But he still had to look around just to make EXTRA sure.

Saying goodbye to Anna, Josh, and a sleeping Maxwell after a brief but lovely visit.
