Thanksgiving 2013

(Some of these pictures are stolen from Jane.)

It was about 2 AM here, when we arrived at our hotel.
He looks like he's probably going to be good about going to sleep.

Yep, totally ready for bed.

No interest at all in the pack and play.

The sports-watching couch.

Penelope knows when you get hold of a bus around Deh Deh, you've gotta run for it if you want to keep it.

Sitting down to a delicious meal.

William's got his eye on the turkey.

Peh Peh and Deh Deh story time.

Deh Deh enjoys Peh Peh's rocking horse.

And he gives her little desk a spin.

William wasn't terribly enthused about napping or sleeping in his new surroundings.

Buses for everybody!

These guys are too cute playing together.

Just a couple of pajama-ed gumshoes looking for clues around the house.

One of many times that Penelope tried to follow through on our request that they hold each other's hands, with no help from William.

Penelope tries to read books to William.  William just keeps trying to steal them.

What William did one of the times we asked him to hold Penelope's hand.  Sigh.

Pointing out the birds.

What these guys did when Gam tried to get them to look at the camera by saying, "Where's Mama? Where's Aunt Sarah?" (Jane is off to the left of the camera.)

I don't know what they're pointing at here, but at least they're on the same page.

Penelope gives William kisses!

Awwwwwwwww.

Snuggling with his Aunt Jane.

Showing off her abilities.  She's a scholar-athlete!

William found a new piano to bang on!

Rose playing a game with William.

Penelope returned to the table after everyone else was done and went to town on the pasta Friday night.

All gone!

She wiped her mouth with her napkin after every bite.  It was ridiculous.

Deh Deh thought the whole thing was hilarious!

More munchkin story time!

And story time with Gam! (Obviously the baby dress code for this event was PJ shirt and no pants.)

Pre-Thanksgiving Picture Dump

Biting a little more off than he can chew, literacy-wise.

Shoving butter chicken in his mouth and eyeing me to make sure I'm not stealing any?

One of his new favorite activities, pantsless or not.

Inspecting the produce.

Thrilled to get out of the house after a week of being cooped up inside.

Eating a bowl of sour cream.  It was his favorite part of our enchiladas meal. (This one's for you, Margaret.)

Breakfast with Mama!

Such a sleepy guy!

Shortly after spotting this football, grabbing it, and shouting "fukkuh fukkuh fukkuh!!!" at playgroup.  (That's his word for football.  He likes to yell it out in public places.)

William in fan heaven.

Trying to draw.

He thinks it's so funny!

William in bookuh heaven (at the library).

Digging through the discarded book basket to fish out the Diggers and Trucks book again (nice try, Mama).

This is how William requests food.  (This and/or shouting.)

Catching up on his correspondence and eating a banana like a real person.
