The Castle

William snags a little Uncle Ian reading time

The girls get their turn (I think Rosie was playing Othello with Uncle Jackson at this point).

One of the top castle activities: gathering acorns

William was simply transfixed by Rosie's new Kindle Fire

Cousin shenanigans

Passed out hard (but very briefly) while we waited for a table.  Her mood improved considerably after this.

The two littles danced around the restaurant to the Beatles while we waited in the bar area for our real table.

Peppy loves her daddy!

These guys had so much fun at their end of the table!

Coloring with your cousin is just the best!

We tried for a self-timer shot of the whole group, but Uncle Jackson and Rosie didn't make it into the frame.  (And then in the ones where they did, Baby [REDACTED]'s face is showing, and I've run out of energy to deal with iphoto crashing while I go in to blur out his face again, haha.)

More dancing, this time in the foyer at the castle.

Peppy is pretttttty happy with her outfit.

The VERY important business of counting/sorting acorns.

Cousins!

Rosie celebrates by throwing acorns in the air!

Peppy takes advantage of the opportunity to mess with her mama's hair.

Uncle Jackson checks out his loot from the Dirty Santa exchange.

William took any opportunity to sneak a little forbidden screen time on Rosie's Kindle.

Out to dinner the third night, and feeling pensive?

Coloring with Baby [REDACTED].  There was a much cuter one, but again, it required blurring, and my iphoto is slow.

Messing around in the Clocktower after we got back from dinner (and the other littles had fallen asleep on the way home).

Not so ready for sleep!  But enjoying Mama's boots.

The last morning, feeding himself some Deh Deh Cheerios.

And polishing off an orange for good measure.

Deh Deh and Daddy say goodbye to the castle.

One last little snuggle with Aunt Jane in the Silversmith's Cottage.

Gathering by the fire.

Farewell hugs.

And high fives.

Big hug for Rose.

Saying goodbye to Uncle Ian.

Group hug with Aunt Jane and Peppy!

Cousins in front of the castle!!  (Finally, one I managed to blur in iphoto in between its crashes.)

Passssssed out in the car on the way home (of course he waited until super late in the day to do this).

Home that night, fresh from his late-afternoon-to-evening nap, and ready to party!

A few more Christmas events

Plastering himself with a sticker nativity set.

Pre-Christmas letter puzzle time with Pa

Reading with Pa at Christmas Eve celebrations at Aunt Mary's

The picture Donald sent to torture me from Christmas dinner at Grandma and Pa's as I tried to keep my English muffin down and whimpered on the couch at home.

More presents!

Getting an assist from Uncle Joe

Hess trucks!!!

Delivered this to Pa.  "Merry Christmas, Pa.  It's a lello submarine."

Mowing the lawn, obviously.

Uncle Nick tries on Aunt Mary's new boots.

Time to play with trains!

Everyone bands together to set up the train track.  Except, of course, for William, who decides to take on more of an overseer role.

The perfect Christmas dessert--bananas and raisins!
